Advanced Ionics has announced that Shell International Exploration and Production Inc., through its Shell GameChanger program, will sponsor a pilot project aimed at testing Advanced Ionics’ water-vapor electrolyzer technology to produce low-cost hydrogen.

H-TEC SYSTEMS will supply a 1-MW PEM electrolyzer for a green hydrogen project on the Spanish island of Fuerteventura. Led by IR Maxoinversiones, the project aims to decarbonize mobility on the island, using wind and solar energy from the company’s photovoltaic plant to produce 100% renewable, emission-free hydrogen.

Hygreen Energy has launched its first Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) electrolyzer system. Customizable to generate up to 100 Nm³/h (500 kW) of hydrogen and operating across a load range of 10% to 120%, the AEM system is designed for easy installation and operation as a fully integrated plug-and-play package.

Thermax has announced a strategic collaboration with Ceres. The two companies have entered a non-exclusive, global license agreement for Thermax to manufacture, sell, and service stack array modules (SAM) based on Ceres’s advanced solid oxide electrolysis (SOEC) technology

Sunfire has been awarded a contract for a 100-MW alkaline electrolyzer at RWE’s hydrogen site in Lingen, Germany. The order comes a few days after RWE’s final investment decision for its largest hydrogen project to date, which is scheduled to begin operation by the end of 2027.

Helen, one of Finland’s largest energy companies, is joining forces with MAN Energy Solutions and H-TEC SYSTEMS to build a 3-MW green hydrogen production plant in the vicinity of Helsinki’s district heating network and the Vuosaari Harbour.

The Hamburg Green Hydrogen Hub (HGHH), a consortium of Luxcara and Hamburger Energiewerke, has selected Siemens Energy to supply and install six units of its latest electrolyzer model for a 100-MW green hydrogen plant at the site of the former Moorburg coal-fired power plant.

A 10MW green hydrogen plant at MOL’s Danube refinery in Százhalombatta, Hungary, has entered production. The facility will produce 1,600 tonnes of carbon-neutral hydrogen annually, which will be used for fuel production, reducing the Danube refinery’s carbon dioxide emissions by 25,000 tonnes.

Hygreen Energy, a global electrolyzer manufacturer and hydrogen technology developer, is set to significantly increase its presence in Europe by establishing an electrolyzer manufacturing facility, launching a technology development program, and building green hydrogen production plants in Spain.
