GAIL (India) Limited, India’s largest natural gas company, has inaugurated its first green hydrogen production plant in Vijaipur, Madhya Pradesh, as part of the National Green Hydrogen Mission. This initiative by the Government of India promotes the development and adoption of green hydrogen technologies across the country.

Nel Hydrogen Electrolyser ASA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nel ASA, has entered into a technology licensing agreement with Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), India’s largest private-sector corporation. The agreement provides RIL with an exclusive license for Nel’s alkaline electrolysers in India and allows RIL to manufacture Nel’s alkaline electrolysers for captive purposes globally.

Ohmium International has been chosen to supply PEM electrolyzers for the first green hydrogen project in Croatia. IVICOM, a Croatian engineering and construction firm, selected Ohmium as the electrolyzer supplier for a 10 MW green hydrogen production plant at the INA Rijeka Refinery.

Plug Power has announced the signing of a Basic Engineering and Design Package (BEDP) with Allied Green Ammonia (AGA), an Australian company focused on green ammonia production, for a 3 GW electrolyzer plant supplying hydrogen to AGA’s planned ammonia facility proposed for the Northern Territory of Australia.

Ohmium International is launching a collaboration with HYGRO, a Dutch provider of green hydrogen, beginning with a new hydrogen production and distribution project in North Holland. The pilot project, launching in 2025, involves 5.4 MW of PEM electrolyzers, with potential for future expansion.

RWE has announced plans to develop a green hydrogen project in Grangemouth, Scotland, supplying the first hydrogen produced to INEOS Grangemouth. Once developed, consented and operational, the initial capacity is anticipated to be up to 200 MWe, with potential expansion to 600 MWe at a later date.

Asahi Kasei has officially opened a new hydrogen pilot plant in Kawasaki, Japan. Operation start of this commercial-scale facility was in March 2024. The trial operation of four 0.8 MW modules is another milestone towards the realization of a commercial multi-module 100 MW alkaline water electrolysis system for green hydrogen production.

McPhy Energy has been selected by the VALOREM Group and its construction subsidiary VALREA to support them in the implementation of the ‘Rouen Vallée Hydrogène’ (RVH2) project. McPhy will provide a 1-MW electrolyzer and a 350-bar McFilling station to power public transport vehicles in the Greater Rouen area and to provide renewable hydrogen to local industrial sites.

thyssenkrupp nucera has been selected the preferred supplier of a 300-MW electrolyzer by Cepsa for its green hydrogen plant in Spain. Under the agreement, the Spanish energy company has awarded the electrolyzer specialist a contract to provide a basic engineering design package.

Hysata has closed the largest Series B in Australian clean tech history, announcing a USD 111-million investment round with strong backing from existing strategic and financial investors. Hysata will use the funding to expand electrolyser production capacity at its manufacturing facility in Wollongong, New South Wales, and further develop its technology.
