Water electrolyzers are electrochemical devices used to split water into its constituent elements, hydrogen and oxygen, by passage of an electrical current. There are four main types of electrolyzers: alkaline and proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzers are already mature, while anion exchange membrane (AEM) and solid oxide electrolyzers are still under development. These technologies differ in numerous ways, most notably in cell design and variations within components. Elcogen opens high-volume solid oxide fuel cell factory in Estonia

Elcogen has officially opened ELCO I, its new manufacturing facility for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) on the outskirts of Tallinn, Estonia. The 14,000 m² site increases the company’s available production capacity from 10 MW to 360 MW.

Lhyfe makes first renewable hydrogen deliveries in the Netherlands

Lhyfe has begun delivering renewable hydrogen to Essent, one of the largest energy suppliers in the Netherlands. The hydrogen is being used to power the GROHW project in Deventer, one of the first renewable hydrogen projects in the country to be implemented.
