Vallourec has unveiled plans to test an innovative vertical hydrogen storage solution using the Group’s range of sophisticated tubes and connections. Vallourec’s solution is a novel concept designed to enable efficient storage of green hydrogen with a reduced footprint and meaningful safety advantages vs. other solutions.
RWE and badenova have presented their plans to develop a centre for the production, transport and distribution of green hydrogen on the Upper Rhine in Germany. The project comprises a 50 MW electrolysis plant and an 8.5 km hydrogen pipeline. Construction of the pipeline is expected to begin in early 2024.

Tank storage company Vopak and Hydrogenious LOHC Technologies have revealed plans to incorporate an equally shared joint venture, named LOHC Logistix, for hydrogen storage, transport and supply based on Hydrogenious’s Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC) technology.
