Vallourec and NextChem Tech, NextChem’s subsidiary dedicated to decarbonization technologies, have signed a partnership agreement aimed at integrating Delphy hydrogen storage solution, developed by Vallourec, into hydrogen and green ammonia production projects where NextChem is involved as technology provider worldwide.

Gasunie and Patrizia/Storag Etzel have announced a plan to develop hydrogen storage caverns within the Etzel salt dome in Lower Saxony, Germany. Following a feasibility study, the goal is to develop and operate a multi-cavity storage facility with a total capacity of up to 1 TWh of hydrogen.

Corre Energy has announced that the underground construction of all four salt caverns at its two Ahaus energy storage projects in Germany is now 75% complete. This represents the equivalent of over 60 hours of storage capacity at each project, with a completed target of 84 hours each and a combined generating capacity of 640 MW.

Honeywell has announced that ENEOS will develop the world’s first commercial-scale Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC) project using Honeywell’s solution at multiple sites. The LOHC solution enables the long-distance transportation of clean hydrogen by leveraging existing refining assets and infrastructure.

Plug Power has delivered several first-of-its-kind liquid hydrogen portable refuelers to transit agencies and trucking fleet customers. Plug’s HL-450D-P is a complete hydrogen refueling station on a portable platform that can be quickly and easily deployed to support fleet vehicle hydrogen refueling at either 350 bar or 700 bar.

Tubular solutions provider Vallourec and green hydrogen producer H2V, a subsidiary of the SAMFI-Invest group, have signed a partnership agreement targeting closer cooperation between the two players, with a view to drawing on each other’s technical skills, market knowledge and development capabilities in future projects.

German natural gas transmission system operator GASCADE Gastransport has confirmed the grid connection of HH2E’s green hydrogen production site in Lubmin on the German Baltic coast to the European Gas Pipeline Link (EUGAL Lines 1 and 2). HH2E plans to commence production of green hydrogen in Lubmin by the end of 2025.

Cygnet Texkimp, a UK composites technology company catering to the high-performance fibre and fabric industries, has delivered a four-axis filament winding machine to the National Composites Centre (NCC) in Bristol, where the machine will form part of a new manufacturing and test facility for hydrogen transportation and storage.
