Neles, thyssenkrupp to deliver valve solutions for hydrogen applications

Neles and thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers have signed a frame agreement for the delivery of valve solutions for green hydrogen applications.

Within the scope of the agreement, Neles will deliver its segment valves to be used in electrolysis plant modules supplied by thyssenkrupp. Neles said that its valves have been proven in tens of thousands of hydrogen and oxygen applications worldwide, with the company offering a wide range of valve solutions for a variety of hydrogen applications, from electrolysis to carbon capture.

Marco Laudenbach, EPC Sales Manager at Neles, said: “New electrolysis technologies or the utilization of explosive industrial gases, such as hydrogen, require valves that can perform reliably under demanding pressure and temperature conditions while ensuring the utmost safety. We are building upon our long experience in flow control to further develop the new technologies to make them safe, efficient, and affordable for our customers around the world.”
