SIAD MI to supply Nel with hydrogen compressors

Italian compressor manufacturer SIAD Macchine Impianti has signed a framework agreement with Norwegian electrolyzer company Nel for the supply of hydrogen compressors. The opening order of the deal includes the supply of two compressors for wet hydrogen and one oxygen compressor, to be installed in a 20 MW plant located in Sweden.

Through its parent company SIAD, which has been producing and distributing technical gases for nearly a century, and its direct experience with thousands of customers throughout the world, SIAD Macchine Impianti (SIAD MI) boasts a specific knowledge at a highly technological level to compress hydrogen and, in particular, green hydrogen.

Commenting on the agreement, Fabio Margheritti, Business Development Manager, SIAD MI, said: “We are very pleased to have signed this agreement. It is very important to provide our customers with competitive solutions in terms of TCO (Total Cost or Ownership): through this framework agreement we have achieved this goal, which is even more significant in the green hydrogen application.”

“The Agreement with SIAD MI is an important step in enabling Nel to further ramp-up deliveries of competitive water electrolysis systems for production of compressed green hydrogen”, added Says Marius Larsen, Supply Chain Director at Nel.
