UK-based PEM electrolyser developer Oort Energy has closed its oversubscribed £5 million seed raise, which will be used to support the set-up of the company’s electrolyser stack manufacturing facility and the deployment of their first fully compliant demonstrator to produce green hydrogen.

TFP Hydrogen Products has announced plans for a threefold increase in its U.S. coating production capacity in the coming year. This significant expansion is necessary to meet rapidly increasing demand for its coatings, which improve the efficiency and durability of PEM water electrolyzers.

IMI Critical Engineering has successfully completed its first field test for the generation of green hydrogen using its new IMI VIVO PEM electrolyser. Plug Power has announced plans to develop three green hydrogen production plants in Finland, resulting in the production of 850 tons per day of green hydrogen, or 2.2 GW of electrolyzer capacity, by the end of the decade. The final investment decision is expected to be reached by 2025/2026.

Johnson Matthey (JM) and Hystar have signed a three-year strategic supply agreement to ramp up green hydrogen production. JM will supply membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs), key performance-defining components for electrolysers, as part of Hystar’s commercialisation ramp-up.

thyssenkrupp nucera and H2 Green Steel have entered into a supply agreement that secures capacity of more than 700 MW for H2 Green Steel’s electrolysis plant in Boden, Sweden. The agreement covers alkaline water electrolysis technology and large-scale electrolysis plant engineering.
