Verdagy announced today a strategic agreement with Doral, a renewable energy developer, in which Verdagy will supply green hydrogen electrolysis systems to Doral through 2030. The agreement is global, with a focus on green hydrogen projects Doral is developing in Europe, the United States, Australia, and the Middle East.

Fortescue has officially opened its electrolyser manufacturing facility in Gladstone, Queensland, Australia today – one of the first globally to feature an automated assembly line. Spanning 15,000 m², the facility was constructed and fully commissioned in just over two years and has the capacity to produce more than 2 GW of PEM electrolyser stacks annually.

Stiesdal Hydrogen and Danfoss have signed a commercial agreement on hydrogen electrolyzer production, signalling the readiness of the two companies to introduce their latest innovation to the global market: an advanced hydrogen electrolyzer solution based on heat exchanger design.

Finnish energy company Helen will build a green hydrogen production plant in Vuosaari, Helsinki. This is Helen’s first hydrogen project with which the company will increase its expertise to meet the needs of large-scale hydrogen production and enhance the flexibility to the entire energy system. This is also the first green hydrogen production plant to be built in Helsinki.

Enapter has secured further orders for its megawatt-class electrolyser, the AEM Nexus 1000, marking the largest single order from Europe in the company’s history. Enapter will supply three AEM Nexus multicore-class units, each with a 1 MW capacity, to the logistics company CFFT SpA.

Ecolectro has achieved performance milestones using their AEM chemistry in membrane-based electrolyzers. The New York-based green hydrogen startup has achieved peak production rates of >4A/cm² at current densities of 74% with high hydrogen production rates.

ITM Power has announced a milestone in its collaboration with Sumitomo Corporation: the delivery and installation of a NEPTUNE electrolyser at Tokyo Gas Co Ltd’s Yokohama Techno Station. This unit marks the first deployment of a megawatt-class PEM electrolyser made overseas and imported into Japan.

Topsoe has reached an important milestone at the inaugural demonstration test for its Solid Oxide Electrolyzer Cell (SOEC) electrolysis technology. Held at the company’s demonstration site in Frederikssund, Denmark, Topsoe ran a 2,000-hour demonstration in industrial conditions of 12 SOEC stacks, which included 1,200 cells.

Electric Hydrogen (EH2) has announced that it has reached a comprehensive framework supply agreement with The AES Corporation for up to 1GW of large-scale electrolyzer plants to produce low-cost, green hydrogen from renewable energy.
