Rely, a joint venture created in November 2023 by Technip Energies and John Cockerill, has launched Clear100⁺, a configurable productized plant dedicated to large-scale production of green hydrogen. With its singular product approach, Rely enables a significant reduction in both CAPEX & OPEX, driving down the levelized cost of hydrogen.

Nordic energy company Fortum will build a hydrogen production plant in Loviisa, 90 km east of Helsinki. The plant, equipped with Stargate’s electrolyser, will be located near Fortum’s Loviisa nuclear power plant at the Kalla Test Center. Construction is set to begin in summer 2024, with commissioning scheduled for late 2025.

The solid oxide electrolyser developed at HPCL’s Green R&D Centre is part of their efforts to advance green hydrogen production.

In a novel study, researchers at the University of Twente have made significant strides in understanding the behaviour of micro- and nanobubbles on electrodes during water electrolysis, a process crucial for green hydrogen production. These tiny bubbles form on the electrodes, blocking the flow of electricity and reducing the efficiency of the reaction.
