HydrogenPro supplies electrolysers to renewable energy storage hub in Utah

The first shipment of alkaline electrolysers to the world’s largest hub for the storage of renewable energy in Utah, USA, arrived from HydrogenPro’s plant in Tianjin, China, earlier this month. The contract includes a total of 40 electrolysers and 20 gas-separation skids, to be completed in 2023.

Recently, the first delivery with 15 electrolysers arrived in the United States. The facility in Utah will combine a 220-MW bank of high-pressure alkaline electrolyzers from HydrogenPro with a storage capacity of 4.5-million-barrel salt caverns for storing clean hydrogen.

HydrogenPro will complete the manufacturing of the electrolyzer systems in 2023, followed by installation and commissioning on-site, which is expected to be completed in late 2024.
