Gasunie selects Mokveld control valves for Hynetwork’s hydrogen delivery stations

Gasunie has entered into a long-term frame agreement with Mokveld to supply control valves for its hydrogen delivery stations. This agreement is part of Gasunie’s plans to develop Hynetwork, a nationwide hydrogen network in the Netherlands.

The project involves converting existing natural gas pipelines to transport hydrogen. The network will supply hydrogen to large consumers, such as industrial plants located near the delivery points.

The European tender for this project set strict requirements regarding quality, corporate social responsibility (CSR/ESG), and price. Mokveld was selected for its strong emphasis on technical quality and sustainability, as well as its ability to deliver innovative solutions for the energy sector. The control valves will play a crucial role in safely and efficiently regulating the flow of hydrogen to bulk consumers.

Mokveld’s axial control valves are characterised by their one-piece body design, streamlined flow path, and high capacity. Their accurate control, enabled by pressure-balanced trim and full surround flow, allows for the use of energy-efficient electric actuators.
