As part of their industrial development program, FGH has completed qualification and characterization tests on alkaline electrolysis stacks in the MW range, generating the product line CORNERSTONE. These tests involved a 500-kW prototype representative of the entire product line, which extends up to 2 MW. The prototype passed both beginning-of-life functional tests and pressure equipment certification for applications up to 30 bar.
According to the company, its CORNERSTONE stacks provide a more compact solution than current state-of-the-art technology, with innovations in efficiency, scalability, and sustainability.
The start-up’s development program involved the construction of its own pilot plant, where stack qualification tests were conducted. With the successful completion of these tests, FGH is now ready for the commercialization and industrialization phase.
Francesco Massari, President and CEO of F2N Green Hydrogen, said: “We are excited to announce the completion of our qualification tests and to bring a concrete solution to the green hydrogen value chain. Green hydrogen is key to addressing global climate challenges, and F2N Green Hydrogen is committed to providing innovative solutions for a sustainable future.”
