CPH2’s MFE110 electrolyser passes Level 1 Factory Acceptance Test

CPH2 has announced the successful completion of Level 1 of the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for its MFE110 electrolyser. This milestone represents the first of three sequential stages within the FAT, marking a significant step toward the MFE110 becoming a commercially accepted electrolyser.

The Level 1 FAT is a crucial step in the process, verifying that mechanical and electrical components are checked for completion, confirming that documentation is in order, and ensuring that the MFE110’s design and build align with documentation and comply with relevant safety standards. The successful independent verification was undertaken by Lagan MEICA Limited, a contractor for Northern Ireland Water.

The company is now proceeding with Level 2 of the FAT protocol, which involves a comprehensive range of checks and calibrations for the MFE110. Once these functional checks are completed, CPH2 will commence Level 3 FAT, the final testing phase that starts once the MFE110 electrolyser has been fully commissioned and is actively producing hydrogen and oxygen.

The successful completion of the FAT for the MFE110 will represent the first customer acceptance and validation of CPH2’s scaled electrolyser technology, marking a significant milestone in the company’s route to market.
