Cavendish awarded hydrogen EPC contract in Germany

Cavendish Hydrogen has secured an EPC contract worth €4–5 million to deliver a hydrogen fueling station for buses in western Germany.

The contract covers the design, permitting, construction, and service and maintenance of a hydrogen fueling station that will operate at 350 bar and is designed to fuel up to 25 buses per day. The project supports the deployment of zero-emission public transport in Germany and represents one of Cavendish’s largest contract wins in recent years.

Cavendish, a Danish company headquartered in Herning, will work with Everfuel, which will act as a subcontractor on the project. Everfuel will contribute services related to the construction of the bus fueling station, drawing on its experience in hydrogen infrastructure. The two companies have previously cooperated on hydrogen bus stations in Frankfurt and Wuppertal.

“This contract is a milestone for Cavendish and a clear validation of our strategy in Germany. Hydrogen infrastructure is critical for decarbonizing heavy transport, and we are proud to deliver a solution that combines innovation, reliability, and scalability. With strong policy support and growing demand, Germany represents a key growth platform for Cavendish, and this project sets the tone for what’s ahead,” said Robert Borin, Chief Executive Officer of Cavendish.
