HNO International announces inaugural installation of its hydrogen system

HNO International is set to develop a hydrogen production facility in Houston, Texas, which will mark the inaugural installation of its Scalable Hydrogen Energy Platform (SHEP™), a modular and scalable hydrogen energy system designed to produce, store, and dispense green hydrogen from water using a 1.25 MW electrolyzer.

The completion of the project, being developed in collaboration with Element One Energy and Pneumatic and Hydraulic Company, is anticipated in the second quarter of 2024.

Designed to produce 500 kg of hydrogen per day, SHEP™ is scalable, enabling production to exceed 5,000 kg of hydrogen per day with additional electrolyzers and other integrated components. Its modular design and adaptability ensure it can meet the evolving demands of hydrogen production and usage across a broad spectrum of applications.

SHEP™ boasts a compact footprint, requiring less than 3,000 square feet, providing flexibility for installation in various locations. Moreover, SHEP™ offers users the choice of power sources, enabling the use of either grid or renewable power and presenting a 100% green, off-grid option.

“This collaboration represents a major milestone in our commitment to sustainable energy solutions,” said Donald Owens, Chairman at HNO International. “The development of the 500kg per day green hydrogen production facility in Houston is a testament to our dedication to advancing sustainable hydrogen infrastructure. This facility is just the beginning, as we have plans for additional installations in 2024, 2025, and beyond, further solidifying our position as leaders in the hydrogen energy infrastructure sector.”
