SIAD MI designs three hydrogen compressors for biorefinery in Venice

SIAD Macchine Impianti has designed four compressors for a biorefinery in Venice, to be implemented in the hydrogen production line. The order includes three hydrogen compressors with horizontal balanced opposed cylinders, powered by a 450 kW electric motor.

In addition, the Italian company will also provide one nitrogen compressor with a vertical cylinder and powered by a 45-kW electric motor.

All the compressors and process coolers will be cooled by a common water console with special titanium plate using sea water. The main objective of the project is to increase the availability of hydrogen at the biorefinery, significantly reducing the emission of CO2 into the atmosphere.
