BPT d.o.o., the successor to the historic Cotton Spinning and Weaving Mill Tržič (established in 1885), primarily focuses on green electricity generation through four hydroelectric power plants in Slovenia.
The GREENFLOW project involves the installation of a hydroenergy system in the Mura River to harness its natural flow for clean electricity generation, supporting hydrogen production and agricultural irrigation. Additionally, the project includes a hydrogen filling station for local agricultural use and a dedicated reservoir for storing green hydrogen.
The partnership will focus on resource planning to optimise hydrogen production, storage, transport, and applications; technology integration to ensure seamless compatibility of hydrogen technologies during the analysis phase; and field testing to validate hydrogen solutions in real-world environments.
Regular consultations will continue until a final agreement is reached. Beyond expanding Slovenia’s hydrogen production, this collaboration strengthens both companies’ commitment to decarbonising heavy industries and aligns with the objectives of IPCEI (Important Projects of Common European Interest) and the European Union’s clean energy goals.
