The partnership brings together Stargate Hydrogen, which develops ceramic-based electrolysis technology, and Seacht Group, a UK-based energy and engineering group, to pursue green hydrogen project opportunities in the country.
The companies said they aim to build market share across UK green hydrogen projects, pointing to growing demand for low-carbon energy solutions. The agreement is positioned as Stargate Hydrogen’s first step in expanding into the UK and establishing a local footprint for project development.
Marko Virkebau, CEO of Stargate Hydrogen, said: “This partnership strengthens Stargate Hydrogen. The UK is a strategic market for us, and we need strong local partners with the experience needed to support project development. This agreement reflects our intention to establish a long-term commercial presence in the UK.”
Stargate Hydrogen said it plans to build on the agreement by forming additional strategic alliances with engineering companies and EPCs in the UK in the coming years, as part of its wider European growth strategy. The company sees strong potential for decarbonization through green hydrogen, particularly across industry and energy systems.
Robert Kelly, COO of Seacht Group, said: “Green hydrogen is expected to play a growing role in the UK’s transition to lower-carbon energy. By partnering with Stargate Hydrogen, we are combining advanced electrolysis technology with local market knowledge to help move hydrogen projects forward.”
