Elcogen, Genvia sign supply and R&D collaboration agreement

Elcogen and Genvia have signed a supply and R&D collaboration agreement, which follows two years of cooperation between the companies and strengthens their collaboration in solid oxide electrolyzer commercialization, enabling them to work towards achieving their goals under the IPCEI programme.

Enn Õunpuu, CEO of Elcogen, commented: “We are excited to strengthen our cooperation with Genvia in regards of our highly efficient solid oxide electrolyser cells (SOEC) technology. As both companies are also contributing to the Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI) under the Hy2 Tech initiative, the contract helps us to further collaborate with the goal to accelerate the production of affordable green hydrogen in the EU.”

Florence Lambert, CEO of Genvia, added: “We know the importance of accelerating the development, production, and deployment of clean technologies in Europe, as well as the complementarity between our two countries. This contract will help us to strengthen the development of the European value chain toward world’s most high-performance electrolysers.”
