ITM Power secures 150 MW electrolyser reservation from RWE

ITM Power has received a capacity reservation from RWE for 150 MW of its NEPTUNE V electrolyser units, equivalent to 30 units, with call-offs expected by 2027.

The reservation builds on RWE’s previous collaboration with ITM, including the operation of a 4 MW pilot plant and the ongoing delivery of 200 MW of electrolysers for the GetH2 Nukleus project in Lingen, Germany.

NEPTUNE V is ITM’s latest-generation containerised green hydrogen solution. Each unit incorporates all necessary balance-of-plant components within a compact design, enabling rapid deployment, simplified installation, and reliable operation. Units can be interconnected to create larger container-based plants.

Dennis Schulz, CEO of ITM Power, commented: “We are proud to expand our collaboration with RWE. Building on our strong relationship developed through the joint execution of the GetH2 Nukleus project, this additional 150 MW capacity reservation underlines RWE’s confidence in our technology and delivery capability. Repeat business with a global leader in energy is the strongest validation of our strategy, our products, and our people.”
