Larsen & Toubro establishes new subsidiary to drive green hydrogen projects in India

L&T Energy Green Tech Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro (L&T), has announced the incorporation of a new step-down subsidiary, L&T Green Energy Kandla Private Limited (LTGEK), as part of its expanding commitment to green hydrogen and its derivatives.

LTGEK was officially incorporated on 4 April 2025 and will focus on the development of projects related to green hydrogen, green ammonia, and other associated business activities. The new entity, fully owned by L&T Energy Green Tech, is expected to play a strategic role in advancing L&T’s ambitions in the clean energy sector.

According to L&T’s disclosure under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, LTGEK was formed with an authorised and subscribed capital of Rs. 1,00,000 fully subscribed in cash.

While LTGEK has not yet commenced business operations, its creation signals L&T’s intention to strengthen its position in India’s emerging green hydrogen economy.
